Blazers Rule

by guest on Dec.22, 2009, under Blog

Right now blazers are really in. They serve multiple purposes, so it makes them a perfect wardrobe essential when it comes to teen fashion. A black blazer can be worn with jeans, skirts, dresses, you name it. A blazer will keep you warm and it will give you that extra boost of style that you might be looking for with your winter outfits.

Depending on what you’re looking for, blazers can be found all over the place. If you are shopping on a budget, I suggest you start with your favorite teen fashion thrift store. You will be able to locate blazers of different size and color in almost all the many sections of a thrift store. A lot of times, females prefer to have a more fitted look so I usually direct them to the young boys department. Often these blazers will be smaller and more fitted. The problem you might come across at that point is that the sleeves are too short. A good way around that is to go with the “rolled up” look, which is also popular with the 80s craze being back in fashion.

The next place you can look is your favorite department store. Again, depending on what you want, you can look in all the departments. Here you will find just as many color and style options, but the price will go up as you are buying brand new clothes verses the thrift.

No matter where you find the perfect blazer, you won’t regret getting it. As the weather turns and the air gets chillier, this fashion statement will keep you warm and keep you in style. Enjoy your shopping!

The Aquamog CCX-238 Making a New Channel Through a Dense Cattail Area

by guest on Oct.17, 2009, under Blog

This press release is about the Aquamog CCX in action. The aquatic rig is ideal for creating channels or getting rid of excess cattail plants from ponds. This is by far the fastest and most efficient Aquamog when it comes to only emergent vegetation and cattail control. Where other Aquamogs need to more than one attachments to do the same work, the Aquamog ccx just gets after it to make new cleared water.

The Aquamog CCX with its 2 separate cutter blades in the front of the barge can remove cattails to a depth of three feet. The blades propel the vessel as well as do the root removal task. Getting rid ofthe roots cuts down on re-growth in the area.

Once the roots are removed they remain on the surface of the water and are than easily collected and removed from the pond using an aquatic plant harvester. The harvester transports the vegetation to the shore for final placement and/or off site disposal.

Cattails are a good plant that have many purposes in ponds. They provide filtering of heavy metals from ponds, as well as provide homes for birds and other wildlife.

But, if not properly maintained they can quickly turn into a large water plant issues that can be very hard and costly to handle. That is why the Aquamog CCX was created.

The Aquamog equipment line was created in the early 1980’s by Aquatics Unlimited (AU). The McNabb family founded Aquatics Unlimited in the 70’s. Both Tom and Dave McNabb developed the Aquamog name and line of equipment through the 80s and 1990’s while with Aquatics Umlimited. Tom continued the Aquamog line into the new century with the addition of the MarshMog. Tom’s new company Clean Lakes, Inc. (www.cleanlake.com) located in Martinez, CA and Dave’s company DK Environmental (www.dkenvironmental.com) in Lafayette, California have been working together on the Aquamog CCX project for about 10 years and in February 2009 the Aquamog CCX was introduced into the “Mog” family.
